Familial Narcissistic Abuse and Life Insurance
Watch out for Word Salad
Narcissistic abusers go all out to reinforce your inadequacies using word salad. They are incapable of taking responsibility and if accused they doubled down with word salad. Their toolbox is domination, exploitation and oppression.
Narcissistic abuse can drive you to self-destruction as they pound you into the ground and in the worst cases, suicide.
Warning:
Awareness of narcissistic abuse using word salad will return your power. When you hear word salad your defense should be to walk away from the conversation because you are about to be manipulated. Word salad originally described schizophrenic speech. A confused or unintelligible mixture of seemingly random words and phrases. For example, “the soil is dirty because the moon is falling.”
In common usage, word salad frames narcissistic speech. A confusing, infuriating tactic to dodge responsibility and bury you in verbal diarrhea. Gaslighting you to doubt your reality. Speaking gibberish so you have no idea what the narcissistic abuser is saying. It’s very effective for them, it’s pathologically egotistical. When you hear word salad or logorrhea, recognize the circular language will be used to ensure talks never end positively. Word salad is a response to exert influence over another person’s views or ideas, emotions, emotional responses or access to information. Their position is impossible to pin down.
Beware:
Narcissistic word salad uses our conversation against us by blame shifting. Projecting, stonewalling, sympathy planting or playing the victim, changing the subject and putting the conversational partner on the defensive. Denying us the right to express our opinions, emotions or ideas in response to anything they do or say. Each contact with an abusive narcissist is meant to divert, punish or belittle us until we give up and accept their version of reality.
