How the boss picks a company scapegoat?

They sense somebody who is independent, an equal who doesn’t believe in hierarchy. The boss needs to show whose boss. Prove that person is beneath them, hence the scapegoating begins.

Why others become the boss’s flying monkeys, also shaming and guilting the boss’s scapegoat. Mimicking the boss’s ridiculing behavior. The boss inadvertently gave permission to criticize and judge his scapegoat through his behavior.

The boss pays for this because of the low-level sabotage the scapegoat creates by not offering their best ideas due to fear of retribution.

Everybody has a scapegoat. Someone they blame for some wrong that they feel has happened to them. But everybody pays an invisible price.
